Dior Style Dress

I am working on this beautiful 1949 Dior Style dress.  Unfortunately the pattern is incomplete, but I love a challenge. Once I have completed this dress and figured out the missing bits I will post this pattern for FREE so that you can also have a go.
As you can see from the pictures the pattern is knitted in many different sections and then put together to give a very tailored effect.
I have pinned out the sections as I finish them otherwise I will have no way of telling what is what!!
I will keep make regular updates on this dress, however it will not be finished quickly as I tend to work on many projects at the same time.  This includes developing my own range of  knitting / crochet patterns which I will be posting very soon.

This picture is of the knitted sections of top back of the dress pinned out on a towel, so I can keep track where I am.

This is what the knitted sections look like when the come of my knitting needle - like little rolled scarves.

Ohhh!!!!  I hate unpicking but it is part and parcel of knitting, here is a tip put the knitting needle through the stitch on the row you wish to unpick from - and now you can pull it apart without worrying of going to far down.

A dear friend has given me some more knitting and crochet publications, many from the 1920's which I will be sharing very soon with you.  The patterns are breathtakingly beautiful and should be enjoyed by all.
