The Guerilla Knitters Target Bristol.

What a wonderful and cheerful sight to come across on a dull and grey November morning in Bristol!!  Cute woolly Pompoms hanging on a lamp post!!

This is the work of the Knitting Guerillas  -

Burlington Road BS6

The Knitting Guerillas are an underground group whose members identities are a closely guarded secret.  Their aims are to enhance public buildings or objects with the art of knitting or crochet.

In this picture below, a Lampost is covered in a Fair Isle knitting pattern.  How Cosy!
I also love the interesting backgrounds and signs that accompany their art work.

I would like to say "Thank You" to this talented group of knitters, who are happy to give up much of their time and energy into decorating our cities, in such a unique and quirky way.

  1. They're really cool aren't they! I saw some in Southville and they is usually some lovely Guerilla knitting on the footbridge. I agree that they're really cheerful to stumble across during gloomy weather!
