What to do on a rainy Bank Holiday.

We have had a really soggy bank holiday, but it has not been a wash out!!
Here are some of the things we got up to over the long weekend.

First I had a good sort out of my over extensive collection of yarn.

Some will be sent to auction on my My Ebay Shop  and the rest I have taken down to my local charity shop.  And I have promised not to buy anymore until I have started to seriously reduce the amount I have left.

A rainy day as a really good excuse to spend the day out wandering around art galleries or like I did in the beautiful city of Bath, visit the Fashion Museum which was brilliant.

I think my bag helped bring a bit of brightness to what was a pretty damp and grey day.  I made it using scraps of cotton DK yarn left over from previous projects, which I crocheted into around 30 granny squares, attached and lined with about a meter of pretty floral fabric and hey presto one very original bag for very little cash.

We also came across a little gem of a vintage store called Vintage-to-Vogue.  A real Aladin's cave for any fan of vintage fashion.  They have a great range of clothing, from  19th Century Victorian Camisoles to cool 1960's London Designers such as Mary Quant and Biba. Do be warned though, their stock goes fast so keep an eye on their website.

Preview of Lace Detail Top Pattern

My latest design is ready, unfortunately due to bad weather - and it looks to stay pretty rainy over this Bank Holiday, I have not been able to do the pictures for it.

However I am very pleased with how it has turned out.  It is always so rewarding when I have a vision of what I want to create and it comes out just as I pictured.

Anyway here is a little sneak preview of Lace Detail Top .......

Pattern to follow soon..
